 Obituary
 The Lauren Lagudi Foundation

Airman First Class Lauren Marie Lagudi, USAF, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2009 while stationed at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Lauren was born August 3, 1989 in Niagara, New York. Lauren was the beloved daughter of CMSgt. (Ret.) Sal and Susan Lagudi of Cibolo, Texas. Lauren is also survived by brothers, Sal and Robert; grandparents, James and Barbara Lagudi, Shirley Todd and a host of family and friends. Lauren enlisted in the Air Force in January 2008 and served as a Radio and Television Broadcaster for the American Forces Network. Lauren graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 2007.

Lauren Marie Lagudi was an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force. She was last assigned to Aviano Air Force Base in Italy. While there Lauren enthusiastically shared her presence with the world, working as a radio and television broadcaster.

In October 2009 Lauren Lagudi left for a weekend getaway to Rome. She was reported missing when she did not return to work on Monday.  Tragically she was discovered at the Pordenone Train Station approximately 10 miles from Aviano Air Force Base where she was stationed. The investigation is still ongoing and they do not have the official report. Investigators are currently working diligently to determine exactly what happened to Lauren. Things get twisted and rumors are out, please don’t believe everything you hear or read.

Thank you all for your support and prayers through this very difficult time.

This foundation was established in Lauren's memory as a platform to help support aspiring radio and television broadcasters around the nation. Funds raised will go toward the purchase of media equipment and toward scholarships for select individuals. The foundation's primary goal is to help people reach their dream of being "on the air", just like Lauren was.
